📖 BEGINNER'S GUIDE

Supermarket Empire: beginner's guide

Everything you need to go from a tiny corner shop to a busy supermarket — without going broke on day one.

1. Before you open: order stock

Your store starts almost empty. Open your phone and use the shopping app to order products. Each product comes in a box; the delivery arrives at your store.

Start with cheap, fast-selling basics (rice, sugar, salt, milk, bread). New products unlock with licenses, which open up as your total sales grow.

💡 Don't spend all your money on day one. Keep some cash for the end-of-day bills (salaries and rent).

2. Restock the shelves

Pick up a box and walk to a shelf that takes that product: dry goods go on the gondolas, cold products in the fridge, frozen ones in the freezer, produce on the produce stands. Customers always take from the front of the shelf, so keep it full.

An empty shelf is a lost sale — and an unhappy customer.

3. Run the checkout

Step onto the register mat. Scan each product on the belt:

Then charge the customer. With cash, type the right change on the keypad; with card, use the card machine. Long lines make customers give up, so open more checkouts as the store grows.

4. Set the right prices

Every product has a market price. Price it a bit below and customers buy more; price it too high and they leave the item on the shelf. Watch what sells and adjust.

5. Close the day

At the end of the day you see the summary: sales, costs, salaries and profit. If you're short on cash you can take a loan — but it charges interest every day, so pay it back fast.

6. Hire and grow

7. Play with friends

Up to 5 players share the same store. A good split: one on the checkout, one restocking, one ordering stock and setting prices. Missions give everyone rewards when the team hits the goal.

Halloween tips 🎃

In October, place the Halloween table in the middle of the store — it only holds Halloween products (pumpkins, candy, lollipops and chocolate). Every Halloween item sold gives you candy 🍬 to spend on special rewards, like pumpkin and bat brand symbols, a Halloween uniform and a Halloween self-checkout.
